About Jos White

Jos WhiteI’m an entrepreneur turned investor and currently a partner at Notion Capital, a venture capital firm focused on Cloud Computing and Internet services.

Before Notion I co-founded, built and exited three businesses with my brother Ben (RBR Networks, Star and MessageLabs) that all reached beyond $100m in revenues and combined for nearly $1bn in value creation. Star was founded in 1995 as one of the UK’s first ISP’s, and MessageLabs in 2000 as the first company in the world to deliver anti-virus and anti-spam in the Cloud. In 2008 MessageLabs was acquired by Symantec for $700m marking one of the most significant transactions in the emerging software-as-a service (so called ‘SaaS’) sector.

In 2009, I co-founded Notion again with my brother and three other partners and we have since made nine investments. We also led a MBO of Star and have helped to evolve the company into a broader based Cloud Computing business offering infrastructure, platform and applications all provided over the internet as a service.

I also do some seed funding and companies I’ve invested in include Alert Solutions, Gamechanger, Groupspaces and PublicStuff.

I’m married with two beautiful children and live in New York City. When I’m not working I love running, reading, golf and cooking. But most of all I love to spend time with the family and to see my kids with a smile on their face and a twinkle in their eye.
